Log kiln

We have recently completed a log kiln that enables the drying of logs. Through kiln-drying, the construction process can be accelerated, as there is no need to wait several years for the wood to air-dry outdoors. The kiln has been designed in collaboration with industry professionals, and its solutions draw on long-term experience with the specific requirements of drying solid logs. The thermal energy for the kiln is produced by a 120 kW wood chip heating container manufactured by Masa-tuote. We source the wood chips from the surplus wood of our own production.

The kiln is specifically suited for the gentle drying of solid logs. To prevent the wood from drying too quickly, we use a precise drying formula to ensure the end result is high-quality, carving-dry timber. The drying program is monitored throughout the entire process using remote-controlled software, allowing the drying formula to be adjusted as needed.

We also offer drying services to other professionals and hobbyists working with logs. In addition to logs, the kiln can be used to dry other types of timber. Ask for a quote for drying your timber and, if needed, for custom sawing as well.

Kotimaisuus on meille itsestään selvä asia. Tavoitteenamme on hankkia hirsiksi sahattavat puut mahdollisimman läheltä toimipaikkaamme Pohjois-pohjanmaalta. Olemme osaltamme tukemassa suomalaista työtä ja etenkin sen hirrenveistoperinteitä. Vaikka hirsitaloissa kunnoitetaan yhä perinteitä, on hirsi osaavien ammattilaistemme käsissä materiaali, josta on mahdollista rakentaa moderneja, persoonallisia ja yksilöllisiä rakennuksia.

Talon rakentaminen kokonaisista puista, yhteen liimattujen palasten sijaan, on erittäin vastuullista ja kestävää kehitystä tukevaa. Me teemme vastuullista työtä rakentaen aidosta puusta ja luonnonmukaisesti. Se on kestänyt ennenkin, se kestää tulevaisuudessakin!

The local development association Nouseva rannikkoseutu ry, together with ELY (the current Center for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment), has granted business support to our company. We received support for the investment project "Construction of production facilities, part 1". The project implements the first phase of an investment program in line with the company's growth strategy, involving investments in a log kiln and a heating plant designed to meet the company's needs.
