Timber procurement and sales

We purchase high-quality and large-sized timber for our use. In our carving work, we primarily use pine and aspen, but also some spruce. When constructing high-quality buildings, the quality of the raw material is of great importance. High-quality timber is slow-grown and sufficiently long and thick. In accordance with the principle of sustainability, our goal is to purchase timber for our log work from continuous cover forests to ensure that timber suitable for construction remains available in the future. We prefer to buy timber from nearby areas, but also from elsewhere. Offer timber from your forest for sale, and together we can assess its suitability for logs.

We also sell high-quality timber to others for construction and restoration. Because we use high-quality, large, and aged wood for building our log houses, the timber remaining from the sawing process is also of excellent quality. Our live-edge boards are sawn to a thickness of 25–50 mm, with an average width of 30 mm. These wide live-edge boards are ideal for applications such as ceiling or floor boards, or as material for sauna benches.

We utilize log band saw, which allow us to provide custom-cut timber to your specific dimensions. In addition to custom sawing, we can also perform edging. Our equipment is capable of sawing exceptionally long pieces—up to 15 meters in length—whether it be boards or logs. Thanks to our log kiln, we can deliver logs and other timber on a fast schedule when necessary.

The most common log thicknesses in our own projects range from 150 to 250 mm, but both larger and smaller sizes can be sawn upon request. Please contact us for more information regarding our current stock.
