By combining this with advanced carving techniques, we have expanded our operations to include the crafting of new log buildings. Responsibility is in line with our family business values and is self-evident to us. We always want to take responsibility for quality, which is an integral part of responsible production by creating a product that lasts as long as possible. Sustainable development is thus naturally realized in a hand-carved building.

One aspect of responsibility is social responsibility. Building a log house is also socially responsible because a log house creates healthy indoor air and promotes the well-being of its residents. Experiences from those living in log houses are very positive. As successors of the log-carving tradition, we are part of a chain of generations, and the houses we build are designed to last from one generation to the next.

Eco-friendliness is self-evident in a hand-carved building. Wood grown in Finnish forests is a renewable natural material that sequesters carbon throughout its entire lifecycle. In the construction of a hand-carved log house, no waste is generated at all, and even at the end of the house's lifecycle, the wood materials are biodegradable or easily recyclable, unlike industrial materials. We utilize felled trees in their entirety in our production; various types of timber are created as by-products of the logs, and the rest is used for thermal energy. Being made from whole trees, the manufacturing of a log house consumes very little energy, which significantly reduces the carbon footprint of construction. Furthermore, solid wood structures have a natural ability to balance humidity and temperature fluctuations, which can reduce the house's energy consumption during use.
